Homework

At Whitefield Community Primary School, we recognise the importance of developing strong partnerships with parents and carers and actively involving them in their child’s learning. To support this, the activities children complete at home are consistent across the school so that families can follow a clear and easy-to-understand approach.

Parents can support their children and the school by ensuring the following homework is completed each day:

• • 10 minutes practising spellings using Spelling Shed

  • 10 minutes practising times tables using TT Rock Stars

  • 10 minutes of reading – children should read regularly and be heard reading at home so they are able to quiz in school on the Accelerated Reader programme.
