Accelerated Learning Groups
To really enhance our maths we introduced the ALGs (Accelerated Learning Groups) to enhance children’s learning. The results have been outstanding. This allows pupils to work as part of a smaller group in order to increase confidence and fluency in mathematics. The maths lesson is continued in the same way.
Assemblies
Please join us for our CELEBRATION ASSEMBLY every Friday @ 13:45. We will text and invite you on Thursday evenings.
The children will also have a daily assembly @ 10:15am. During the summer we also host class assemblies in celebration of work throughout the year
Drop-off and collection
At the beginning and end of the school day, parents are encouraged into the playground. This helps to build up a close relationship between home and school – we want to have good links with all parents. If normal arrangements have to be altered (eg you are delayed or another person is collecting your child), please let us know. This avoids any confusion or upset.
Breakfast Club
Offering a quality start to the day. The children can access the ICT room; undertake a gym session; do art and craft activities or do their homework. We are proud to be partners with Greggs breakfast; offering the very best in cereals; Porridge and Fresh Fruit Juice….. All this will be provided for £1; yes £1. All children are entitled to attend Breakfast Club, which starts at 7:45am. Children will be supervised until they are taken to class at 8.45am
Getting to school
To get to and from school, walking is definitely the best option! There are lots of benefits: it’s healthier than travelling by car, it improves the safety of pedestrians and road-users, and it respects nearby residents and parking regulations. Alternatively, we have bike-racks. If you do need to travel by car, please park wisely.
